The Pilot Advisory Group ‘Sustainable Water Management for Industry’, one of the pilot panels of the European Technology Platform for Water (WssTP) organizes on 23 and 24 April 2008 two workshops on the themes ‘Concentrates’ and ‘Water and Energy’. By closing the water cycle in industry the problem of concentrated streams strongly increases. Energy is one of the main topics in sustainable water management in Industry, not only in relation to the energy use and costs of treatment technologies, but also the integration of energy and water in systems and processes is one of the most important point of attention in Sustainable Production. In the regional process of the World Water Forum, as preparation for the fifth World Water Forum in Istanbul, Water and Energy is also one of the main topics.
