| Summary: | GreenFacts is an independent, non-advocacy, non-profit organization based in Belgium. Its mission is to communicate unbiased scientific information on environmental and health topics. GreenFacts publishes, on www.GreenFacts.org, faithful, peer-reviewed summaries of leading scientific reports written by large panels of experts of international organizations, such as IPCC, WHO, FAO, UNEP, World Bank, and EU Scientific Committees. These reports provide the current state of scientific knowledge on the topics covered, and GreenFacts’ clear summaries bring their findings to the reach of a wide audience of non-expert readers, offering a unique source of reliable information to professionals such as journalists, policy-makers, teachers, and decision-makers in businesses and NGOs. GreenFacts’ summaries are published online in several languages as questions and answers. They are presented in GreenFacts’ copyrighted web-friendly Three-Level Structure of increasing detail, allowing easy navigation from a short summary to a detailed summary and to the original report itself. The quality and impartiality of its summaries are ensured through strict editorial procedures, including peer review by independent experts and final approval by GreenFacts’ independent Scientific Board (see about.greenfacts.org/whos-who/scientific-board.htm). |
